ME AND MY BUDDY GOT THIS BOAR A FEW WEEKS AGO ON A FARMERS PROPERTY, I HAD SET MY CAMERA OUT AND KNEW THERE WAS 2 BOARS CLOSE SO WE LET THE DOGS OUT AT DAYLIGHT.  AS SOON AS I UNLOCKED THE DOG BOX, MY CATAHOULA STARTED WINDING AND MY BUDDIES DOG TOO.  THEY DIDNT GO 150 YARDS AND WERE BAYED.  HOG BROKE AND RUN 300 YARDS BEFORE THEY STOPPED HIM FOR GOOD.  GOT WITHIN 125 YARDS AND SENT THE CATCH DOG IN AND THEY CAUGHT.  WHEN I GOT UP THERE TO LEG HIM, I SEEN HALF HIS GUT WERE HANGING OUT SO WHEN I FLIPPED HIM I HAD TO KILL HIM.  THINKIN THE DOGS DONE THE DAMAGE, LATER TO FIND OUT THAT HE HAD A BAD HERNIA.  IT IS FLAT AMAZING HOW AN ANIMAL CAN SURVIVE WITH THAT KIND OF INJURY.

Kevin A. and I caught a boar here in Oklahoma a couple of years ago that had several large cuts in his neck and shoulders.  One of the larger cuts actually had maggots in it.  Over the years we've caught three of four boars in that area of the ranch that have been cut to shreads.  Only thing we could think was there must be one bad arse boar in that area trying to protect his turf.

I was wondering if you were going to post that one matt.  The other cut that hog had was a great big one on his hip. you could see the joint.
