My 2 Cents:  Start training them around 9 to 10 months.  In a controled enviroment. Then after they turn a year i take them to the woods.  You want to make sure there Adult teeth are good and set before you take them out into the woods not knowing what you may get on. Ive seen alot of my friends start them to early and by a couple of years they started to get there K9's ripped out.  Know im not saying that cant happen to any dog no matter when you start them.  But i belive it helps.

She's already catching, so put her up until she's a year old and then let start catching behind experienced catch dogs.

Let those adult teeth set!!!!!!!!! Grin

What kind of dog is she? How big is she? Is she going to be a walk in catch dog or a RCD? From what distance would you plan on letting her go? Those might be things to consider. If you're going to let her go, you could work on her going to a bay with some pups and a smaller one, set something up like in a 5 acre pen, let her go on one side and work her on getting to the other side where the fun is, good to make that connection early and know how to get there; This way while her teeth are setting you are teaching her another skill and minimize risk by keeping it small. Adult teeth should all be in by 7 months.
I was worried about sticking my six month old dogo pup the other day in the pen with a 120+ lb hog (she only ways about 60lbs), but we had a rescue dogo there just in case. My friend who's been training dogos for well over a decade said do it. First time was with another dogo and a bay dog. Second time she went alone. She caught well both times. Here's a couple pics.

I just share that to show that you never know what you have till you test it, and sometimes it amazing which dogs do well and which ones don't.
Can't do that with every dog, depends on size, strength, heart/drive. I think a lot of people would say wait though, you don't want to ruin their confidence or teeth/body early, but if you think she'll step up to a challenge early and not ruin her teeth, maybe go up a size in a couple months, but not over due it, and keep it fun for her.

Just my opinions though.

What he said. Wink

Most bulldogs learn to go to a bay real quick, like after one or two times.  If you really want to work on something work on teaching it to lead, load, ride a 4-wheeler and such that will make your hunt easier and more enjoyable when it is old enough to go.

My pit was 10 months when he first caught in a pen (only took one trip to the pen), put him up for another month, then took him to the woods and he caught behind a finished CD for 4-5 hunts.  After that, we sent him in ahead of the other CD to make sure he had it down and the rest is history.

ever went to your old elementry school or jr high after you have done some growin up? remember how much shorter the ceiling seems to be? well you dog is gonna think that hog is much smaller when he grows up and he will have all the confidence in the world when you start him  Evil. so put him up, keep him exercised and feed him some raw hogs (hide and all) to keep his teeth, gums, jaw, and neck in good shape and you will have a good catch dog in time
