A few mock hunts then it's usually wired in their brain.

if you need to just walk them in to a bay a couple times , after that if they don't go  START OVER WITH A NEW DOG  LOL  I've never seen the need to teach most will go when they hear the dogs bark . but I never like turning mine out till I can see the hog . I rely on my baydogs to hold them in place till I get there  .

If it's one CD by itself...mock hunts w/ a young bay dog barking or just a young dog baying in a pen. Once the CD associates the barking with a pig its a done deal.

If you already have a CD started...just walk the new CD in with the seasoned catch dog and let the newby go right beside the seasoned dog. Newby will usually follow the started dog in.
