Sounds impossible, unbelievable, whatever....but it's the truth.

This was a LONG time ago, before everyone got money hungry, and before a few apples spoiled it for the bunch and before I dogged. You use to be able to hop your neighbors fence and hunt all you want. All you would hear was..."Was that you down in the bottoms this morning? I figured it was. You do any good?"

Those days are long gone....but I digress.

In Van Zandt County near Canton....There is a creek/wood belt that varies in width from only 50 yards or so to maybe 300. The area I had access to was right on the edge of cattle pasture and stretched a LONG ways.

I would still hunt/spot and stalk this area during deer season. Lots of hogs... quite a few deer. Anyway...long story short....I was sitting next to a tree and saw a few hogs coming from 75-100 yards....they kept coming, and kept coming, and kept coming. I honestly didn't count them but walking basically single file...it had to have taken them 15 minutes to pass. I'm guessing there were at least 60 probably closer to 75.

One night in Pearsall we sat on a hilltop over an open field, (believe it was planted in peanuts). We had a kicka$$ pair of night vision goggles and the most we ever had out in the field at one time was over 150. Now given this field was over 100 acres and these hogs were all broke up into smaller groups but I'll swear to it to this day. Went back a week later and there were only 60 but there were 4 black cats and a sasquatch too so still a good night.
