I use Rustoleum Spray On Bedliner.....did my hood, and my rockers.....may even wind up doing my whole truck lol. Works/looks great, nice and smooth flat look, yet textured. $8 a can.

No prob. I do. Now keep in mind....my rockers came out perfectly smooth....the reason why my hood looks inconsistent is because there is bad hail damage....so each darker looking spot you see, is where there are dents. I plan on adding another coat to see if it helps. Every where else I sprayed is perfect though, from the rockers to the bumpers to the tailgate.

Just make sure you prep it well and it should last a long time. I've seen several trucks that have the "cheap" spray on liner and it looks pretty good.

All I did was wash and dry her. I took a sanding bar and LIGHTLY went over the areas I was to spray, but that was it.

I live on a gravel/dirt road, and it has held up VERY well.

I would sand it with some very fine grit, you don't want scratches just enough to make a good bonding surface. Then wipe it down with some acetone or a similar product to get it as clean as possible. Once it is clean and prepped just spray it down nice and even. I wouldn't necessarily try and get it all down in one thick coat but rather make it a couple of coats. Remember you can spray more on but you can't take it off if it looks all sloppy. I have done a little work like that but not a lot so maybe someone with more experience can share. Also of there are any dents and dings now would be a great time to put some bondo on and make it look professional Smiley

No prob. Yeah I'm actually pondering doing my entire truck. I like the rust protection, and the protection from scratches etc. Plus I like the flat black look, lol

Check out raptor liner if u plan on doing the whole truck, i dont have any experience with it but ive seen it in real life and watched video's of how it works and it seems to be top of the line for do it yourselfers. Just a thought!
