Hey guys I got a call today from a fella I trap for his first message was you got a big boar in the small trap, this is a 8'L X 4.5'W X 4'T, its made of angle iron and cattle panel, welded, and I've caught many hogs in this same one and several large hogs, But the guy called me back and said not to rush cause that sucker pushed it over by a tree and flipped it over. It has no bottom cause its heavy and was staked down. The guy said he used his back to move it easily. Have any of ya'll experienced this and how did yall fix it? I know what ya'll are thinking Grin, he only has 18 acres, can't run dogs!!!!!!!! Wink

dang...i dunno how you would fix that if you had it staked down...i put a t-post at each corner and have never had any even move it.

i let my cousin borrow my big trap one time tho and he had about 15 pigs in there and watched a big boar that couldn't fit through the door lift up the side of the trap and let about 5 or 6 out before he dropped it

if he picked it up he will hit it and bust the welds at the corners anyway if you stake it down... need a bigger trap so them big hogs are not so confined... one of mine is 100 ft long and 80 ft wide... either that or check it more often

Putting a bottom in it would be the fastest fix
