I've got a young yellow male that's making a pretty descent dog, but my problem is he has the tenderest feet I've ever seen on a dog and was wondering if anyone had any pointers for me. Thus is what I've tried so for, I've had him in an acre ground pen, tried conditioning his feet with tuff foot, happy jack tough foot and one other brand with know success, pretty much don't matter what the terrain is after he's made about 11 - 13 miles his pads are gone. ??

I have never personally done this but i have heard of duct tape and superglue both being put on a dogs pads to help with tenderfoot----- don't have a clue if it works or not but i have heard of using both on more than one occasion, maybe someone who has tried em will chime in.

is he pink or tan pigmented? most dark pigmented dogs don't have those problems unless their feet are splayed...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

I got one now that when he was younger walked around tender footed like he was trying to be easy putting his feet down i just kept hunting him when he was able to hunt and would put whatever pad stuff I was using at the time on his sore feet and they just got tuff over time and now he don't have to have any pad medicine

Yeah I've had him in a pretty good size dirt pen hoping it would help, but it hasn't, had him in there for last 8 months plus conditioning his feet, who knows
