12-18-13 Written Permission

Got out last nite with Blake, his cousin Bri and Jarred.

Very long story short....

New place Blake got permission to hunt that touches some public land. Patrolled heavy by game warden.

2 shoats and 2 decent pigs and a typical Tater night. Haha!





Rosco and Jasper got sold so they stayed at my house...ready for pick up today.

Preacher and Jasper pup Abby both had pretty good nights. Abby at 7 months is every bit as good of not better than Jasper at that age.

Preacher showed "Tater" kind of bottom last nite. Not so sure I like that ; )

Ben...It was a LONG nite...dropped dogs about 5:30...got home at 4:30 am

Memory is kind of foggy. I know Emmett was on the ear of that bigger hog when we got there and Buck was on the other ear, the other little bulldog was on the leg. Abby was on the snout but let go when we stuck the pig. Sometime in there Emmett must have switched to the nose.

He does hit the nose sometimes but I think he's gotten thrown enough to where he's mainly going ear now. He just digs that snout for some reason.

Maybe a little to soon for Emmett. He was really favoring that right front foot today. The skin is good but Don't think the ligaments/ tendons are healed all the way. Gonna have to lay him off again.

Emmett's break came back to 4 hogs/pigs and walking in 6-8 inches of water through a lot of it. He will be fine; just let him catch the first 1-2 next time then swap him out.
