Wondering what u guys use for a drag? Do u use a hog hide?

Throw some old towels in the hog pen then use those to mark sent stake out the pig on in small cage this works for me

Here in a couple months, ill be using a salt cured pig hide and gonna rub the hide all over bacon n start workin my hound pup

  I prefer the hog hide drag or a back leg below the hock that doesn't get processed . a good hog will get you enough hide to make many drags with I will cut it in sections about 1' x 2' and roll them up and put in the freezer in plastic bags . carry a cooler with ice in it and when done laying the drag put the hide in ice and back to the freezer when done . it will last for many drags that way   . now I am fixing to harness  break one of my pot belly pigs and just lead it through the woods where I will have a wild shoat caged out   lol .

Lol me to but looking back i can see how much easier just draggin the hide would be BUT i want em to get the whole experience so i try to put a live pig at the end.

Lol me to but looking back i can see how much easier just draggin the hide would be BUT i want em to get the whole experience so i try to put a live pig at the end.

U can still hav a live pig at the end, trailer it to where u want it n then pull the drag back n then turn the pups loose

   pull the drag towards where the shoat is , or else you'll teach the dogs to start back tracking  .
