Thought I'd post something I got a kick out of.

My poor 11mnth old dogo (house dog, hopefully future catch dog, taking to pen next week) is all a mess because my female house dog (who I need to get fixed but procrastinated) is in heat.

I feel for the guy.

I've never had an intact male dog around a female in heat.  Do they do this the whole time, he's been whining since I got home at 6:00PM.

I HATE when my females come in.  All my males start acting like A$$ Holes!  That's when the tearin up pens, and fights start.  I have to keep them from my females almost as much as I have to keep them from each other.

If u aint around, he better be in a stout crate or you'll come home to a hole in the sheet rock or a door tore up and a bred female. Good luck

I'm going through the same thing right now. Redbone gyp just came in heat & our males are going crazy. Trying to stop full grown male dogos with one thing on their mind is damn near impossible.

I've had my AB Macho literally howl like a wolf over this topic....all day long he looked like a lion on top of his dog house, I felt bad for the guy, he didn't do any damage though.

My old cur dog is about as hard headed as they come.  Two nights ago he tried to get into one of my gyps pens and managed to split his lower lip all the way to his jaw.  Then today he figured my year old gyp was due to be bred  Angry

Im hoping since she wasn't showing that she didn't take, but that aint my luck.  tryin to deicde if im going to all females or all males.  This is getting old..

Everything is on a secure appropriate sized chain here, or in a welded kennel with concrete base and roof. No accidental breeding on this yard. That'd be the LAST thing I'd need. Suprisingly, I haven't noticed any obnoxious behaviors whenever we have females in season. *knock on wood* But I'm sure if my dogs were kept in closer confines, it'd be a whole different aggravating story.  Plus, I can't be as easygoing with my dogs and how I confine them because I have a handful of bulldogs on the yard that are like venus fly traps, so everyone is on maximum security, lol.

Yeah Mine are in bull panel pens, not real sure how he split his lip, and the breeding is my fault I guess. The gyp I know is in heat is kept put up, didn't know the pup was.

I was planning it anyhow, just not for another year.  Embarrassed
