Got invited to a friends of a friends property yesterday afternoon just north east of winnie. Myself, Artie Guillory, Brandon Taylor and David Coburn and his little boy trent loaded up and got there around 2:30.

We collared dogs and headed to the woods, we decided to keep the dogs on the buggy til we got a little better feel for the new spot and it payed off, we rode around for a bit checkin things out, we got up onto a canal bank and were easing down it when arties lady bitch and my camo dog started winding pretty hard, we cut em loose and they hit the canal at full speed, lady struck a big sow and camo was to her in seconds, the sow broke and made it about 300yds where they sat her down in the water, sent a couple straight catch currs to her and that was that. With 1 big healthy sow tied we decided to call it good to get home early.

at least we thought we were headed home........ We rounded a corner on the way out and i'll be danged if there wasn't a big pack of hogs standing in the middle of a cow pasture with cattle all around em, what happened next is what I would describe as controlled chaos lol, we burned to em and pushed em into the middle of the field with our buggies, those poor hogs were screwed with nowhere to go and not a woodline within 300yds, a big boar broke out of the pack and we took out after him, we unclipped my two yella dogs and my new little rocket of a pitbull and got to watch em run him down and catch him at full sprint from the buggy not 50yds behind Them. David coburn stayed with the pack and when another little boar broke the dogs he had with him caught it, we made it back to david and the pack of hogs still in the middle of the field and decided to leave em for next time, primarily because they were smaller 60-80lbers and we didnt need em and didn't want to clean em, we loaded up the 2 we caught and eased to the truck. Couldn't ask for a better group of guys or dogs to hunt with, always a good time. Here's a few pics from the hunt.
