First off, for those of you that don't know me I live over 2000 miles from hog hunting country. I come every year to Milam county for the hog hunting and think about it the rest of the year. Yesterday I was driving thru a rural neighborhood and caught something black and hairy out of the corner of my eye. My head snapped around so fast my neck hurt and it was a dang pet pot bellied pig. Had to laugh at myself.

Just take a couple of breeding pairs when you go back home, they multiply real fast.

Yes Gary Oregon has them all the way up the East side of the Cascades but so much private land it's hard to hunt them. The state really goes after them with helos whenever they get a few. They also are coming up the west side of the Cascades. Washington reported that they were out on the central coast but you would have hell hunting them with dogs in that rainforest with deep rivers everywhere. They claim they eradicated them out on the coast but I don't believe it. I've had several folks tell me to come to Cali for a hunt but never had a chance, it has been all talk up to this point.

Shoot don't feel bad, just about everyday on my way to work I slow down and look at the same bush out in a field that I'd swear everyday it was hog. It ain't, it's still the same damn bush that was there yesterday.

Exactly what needs to happen, I seen a shirt somewhere it said" I wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as I could" sounds like it fits you perfect. Come on we got plenty of room down here, a better tax, and plenty of people to go hunting with
