Went out Friday night to an 1800 acre high fence farm I have permission to hunt. Get there and ride around looking for a track or some sign, we have to plug a good size hole up where a creek drains through it. Every time we get in one it goes straight for the hole . We don't find any sign so we just cast the dogs out and wait , it's not long and they got a good boar up and running about 45 min later they shut him down in a pond. Send the catch dogs in to seal the deal. It ain't the biggest hog we've caught by no means but every dog we had on it was less than three and all go back to the same breeding our group has and holds tight to.
We get a call to come to a lease by the house turn a few dogs out, rode them for a while and they finally pull off the rd. Took them about an hour or so to line it out but put a good sow at the end of it all.
All in all had an ok weekend. Can't complain we did what we set out to do and other than some good pokes and scrapes the dogs come out good as we'll.
