last weekend. Went and gathered a nice bunch of cows for a man, I used to gather for. Dogs worked good and some young dogs really showed out. Me and a buddy have 2 littermate sisters out of my ol Zip dog that are really nice dogs, rough but not stupid on cows anyway. Hogs is a different story, they are straight catch. They made it rough on a bull that thought he got out of going to the lots, but they changed his mind. My buddies dog Jewel eared him and he cart-wheeled her and busted the blood vessels out of one of her eyes, didnt slow her down a bit and he did it to her on the other eye, this time he decided it was time to find some relief. Those blackmouths winded him from a half mile away. Sunday ol Jewel and Noisy's momma Zip had 11 puppies. I am down to six now and hope it holds there. Every pup out of her so far has really worked, most are as rough as they come, but she likes to bay a little. She has a great nose and hunts good, just can't use her a lot hog hunting because she likes to bay cows! Not every one appreciates it like me. After gathering the cows, went to a roping and won 5 holes and a budkle, here is a picture of the buckle, wish I had took some video of the cow gathering but left my phone in the truck.
