Yep- don't think it wont happen to you. You may think you are doing everything right, but all it takes is one person to complain and you may have more problems that you want to deal with.
Im all about having hogs to train young pups on, but it seems the hog/dog owner in this article may have went a little to far.

The lady that owns the hog paints a way different picture. Supposedly someone was caring for her animals while she was out of town and the lil hog got tore up.....

saw this yesterday, bad deal all the way around and dang sure won't gain us as hunters any support........... I have used a penned hog to introduce younger dogs to a hog in a controlled environment but I just can't see any possible justification for lettin dogs do something like that to a penned up hog..........hell we kill what we catch 90% of the time and I can't honestly say i've even seen a hog that chewed up in the woods......... 1 of 2 things is to blame here, 1) some young dumb kids did this not knowing any better or 2) someones dogs got loose and climbed into the pen with that hog while no one was around to seperate em......... we may never know the truth but thats beside the point now anyhow, the damage is done and it is now another black mark against hog hunters

Owner saying she was out of town, and I did see her say on a FB post last week that she wouldn't be back home for a few days. She saying that this was a pet pig, not even used to train with, and somebody else did this. She had the S.O. back out as well, to do a formal complaint. Hopefully they figure it out.

it happens !! I know of a dog that got loose , but unfortunately it was the dog that got hurt . accidents happen . but of course when the media gets ahold of anything like this , it is the fault of a bunch of illiterate redneck hillbillies that will kill your children and eat your cats next .
