My catch dog got stuck right above his front paw on back side. Leg is swollen and he is ain't putting no weight on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Keep it as clean as possible. Be sure to put him on antibiotics. Keep it dry also.

^ what mrs. Krystale said is spot on. Vetericyn and hydro theraphy will fix him up right. I can personally attest to it, it has worked for me multiple times, one of my dogs got cut down real bad last yr during a tourney and was on the dl for quite a while. Flushing the wound w/ clean water for 10mins twice a day along w/ vetericyn healed him up good as new in a months time. The key is to keep it as clean as possible.

I bet if u got stuck in ur for, u wouldnt wanna put weight on it either, i know i dang sure wouldnt. Giv some antibiotics but let the dog's own antibodies fight the infection and allow it to lick it n keep it clean itself
