Dogs on Hunt: Sadie, Booger, Nelly, Sugar, Nemo, Curl, n Duke
Catch dogs: Patches n Sheba

Saturday we loaded up around 9 am n took to a spot that we haven't hunted n since before deer season. We drop around 1030 n jump a hog fairly quick. They bay up around .5 mile away n we ride to 300 yds from them. Get to 75 yds n can tell the hog is bayed up in a vine thicket right across a running creek. Decide to turn CDs to em. They go in and catch. Cody, pops, n I hit the creek while the other 3 ppl stayed back and let me tell you on January 23 in south arkansas the dang water was BREATH TAKING. We Wade the chest deep water n come up the other side n stuck the 150 lb boar hog. By the time we catch our breath, they've already relayed to 400 yds n show treed. Get back to the sxs n get to 200 yds n start walking in n I be dang they're back across a bend in the same creek except this time I fell off in it n never touched bottom. Here we are swimming across this creek n this time my buddy Steven comes with us (first timer). We go in n pump Steven up into legging the 200 lb boar n I stuck him. Same scenario relayed to around 200 n bay again. We cross the creek walk about 100 yds soaking wet from head to toe now n send the dogs to the pine ridge. Not 5 seconds after letting the CDs loose it breaks bay. Runs straight to the big creek, gets 3/4 the way across it n patches comes flying through the air not 75 yards away like some dang acrobat n slams this hog In the creek. Cody n I haul butt over there n i jump In trying to get the hog n dog out the water n this crazy rascal crawls out on a fallen log n sticks the 180 lb hog. Now we are trying to call it a day, but the dogs just haven't had enough. We have dogs in 2 different directions a mile apart both ways. Decide to go to the 2 that bay first n catch another 150 lb boar hog n about a foot deep Creek. We finally got em all caught n loaded up.

Sunday we went back to same spot with bad results. Nelly, Booger, sugar, and curl bayed a hog around .8 from us n took us a long time to get in there. All these dogs are pretty loose baying, but the hog managed to poke Nelly on the underside, boog in the shoulder, and curl in the butt... We down for a lil while but coming back looking for revenge soon
