Seen several do it and could never understand. I don't figure I will ever sell slap out. Not saying I may not get down to 2 or 3 at some point but I just don't think I will sell out. Heck I fed 10 for over a year with no where to hunt.

I think most guys that sale out are just in it to catch hogs or just like to hunt. The guys that keep dogs that don't even hunt that much or long term are in it for the dogs and selling out ain't even a option.

We were in some financial trouble a month or so ago and dang near lost the house. I just about sold all my dogs twice. I was sick just thinking about it. I've got one dog that I'm real proud to have, a female that makes a heck of a good hand along with him. And a good solid bulldog that I enjoy having. It was tough.  Thank god we got everything together or they might just be on someone else's yard right now.

I haven't been there yet, but I fantasize about having just four or five dogs, it's gona be awhile before I get there, even if I didn't hunt I'd have a couple to keep the critters away

Yup I think this would hold true the majority of the time.

I see ALOT of good answers here.

Didn't you JUST build/rebuild your buggy and pick up another dog from a buddy not long ago??? Why the quick 180 from doing all that to selling out???

Well it's like this guys... When your starting out in life and all you do/think about is hunting, other things go undone. So when I can get my priorities in the right place then I'll consider it again.... I've been hunting for years, it's in my blood but I can't let it get in the way of things that I need to do. I know I'll catch a bunch of flack from a few of you.... Idc I just asked if you have ever been here before not for your opinion as to why you think I'm getting out

Sorry it keeps cutting the message up.
Some of you wont understand but some will.. I didn't get in because of the sport of it and out because of money... ... it was simply what I needed to do for now...
