Here is a weanling shoat we got our hands on tonight....... Thats my buddy Chris and his brother Jason in the pic. I enlist the younger guys to hunt with me, as its nice to have youth on your side when you mess with the big boar hogs!! They were going to weigh him when they got home before they put him in a pen. Any guesses on his weight? Thats Chris's F-250 the hog is in and he takes up almost the entire tailgate.

Good guess sfboarbuster...the hog weighed 215 lbs on the scales.
BUT, I have to confess, we didn't catch him with the dogs. I have a trap set on a place that is too small to dog hunt and caught this bad boy in the trap yesterday.
It took three of us to rope him and get him out of the trap and tied. He was a handful.........he was looking to hurt somebody as soon as we walked up to the trap. He only had about 1" teeth but real bad attitude.
He would have been hard on dogs even without big teeth I bet.

Well, the main reason I posted this hog was I knew we could weigh him on good scales and get an accurate weight on him. I was curious as to what kind of weight guesses I would get as I have seen several pics of hogs posted that weren't any bigger than this one that stated the weight was higher...sometimes a lot higher. Most everyone that posted a weight guess was pretty close. That means they have weighed a lot of hogs.....
