they have a few drilling companys out there right now hiring now , i work for a servic hand company and we aren't hiring now but looks like we might in the near future .....

Seems like a distant bad dream now.... I was offshore for 3 wks or more at a time... it's definitely hard on the soul.

The old timers warned me... "get out while you can"....they seemed pretty earnest.   The money is like a drug they said... once you get used to it, it's hard to step away....  Divorce was the norm out there... as was a lot of sad guys.

I think the fish you were talking about was the Barracuda... they get real big on the rigs.

man i worked  offshore14-14 i hated every minuite of it  workedon a tow boat 20-10 tankering oil barges   liked the job but time cooped up in a small place sucks  now work at  a coal mine half the year off and home every night  plenty of time to hunt
