Made a hunt with Charlie Gaines, Gary, Doug, and Mike the Knife. We split up looking for hog sign and Charlie called and said he had a good track. Went over there and put out Amber and for some reason her collar was not working. I turned Hank out and after about 20 minutes could hear them bayed. As we walked in Amber and Hank had two different bays going a couple hundred yards apart. Ambers hog broke do we went to Hank. Got about 100 yards and his hog broke and went about 500 yards and Bayed. Got about 40 yards and turned Rex loose. They were caught in the creek and we had to go about 50 yards out of the way to find a way down because of about 15’ drop off. Mike and Doug got there first and killed the hog. Bad news Rex didn’t make it. Hog gutted him pretty bad right where the vest stopped. Hated that because he was only 16 months old and had caught quite a few good boars by himself. Boar weighed 242# gutted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks everybody. Yes, as soon as we had the hog caught Hank rolled out and got with Amber and we ran hogs the rest os the day in this bad cutover. Could not stay on the same hog, they kept relaying and would be on a different hog everytime they came thru.
