For the last two weeks I've either been on dry runs or sitting in the deer stand. The deer stands are not for me about 45 min and I'am done. Dont have much patience for that. I have been in desperate need of getting some pork stopped and last night we did. We took an old coon hunter out that had never experienced hog doggin. We caught two really good hogs, the first hog we caught we casted the dogs out about 15 mins later Booger and Ben had a good solid bay. We got to them and sent the bulldog in at about 100 yards, as soon as I let the bulldog go and I mean as soon.. the bay broke. They ran about 300 yards to a very deep, fast current creek. We made it to them and they had that sucker caught. Makeemsqueel jumped in, swam over, stuck the hog and started pulling the dogs and the hog across the creek through the swift current with the cd max still attached to the hog. Makeemsqueel/Grant had some weighters on that were full of water, he was struggling, but did a really good job at it. With the steep embankments on the creek, all three of us could not pull the hog out. We are guessing he went about 235-250, but we did manage to cut off his head for a skull mount and some pics. On our way back to the wheeler makeemsqueel's youngest dog, Hunter, struck up another good boar hog. My dogs Jack and Redman both got to him and Redman(the new Catahula I got from Muleman) is a rough sucker. Those three dogs had that hog caught within a minute. Thats funny chops...max (rednose pit) also learned how to swim last night, the last time i saw him in the water I thought I was going to fish him out however last night he grew gills & turned into a catfish and it made me feel alot better sticking that hog in a fast moving creek with him on the head....fun last second hunt the big one we left in the creek broke twice before we stuck him once he was caught but we couldnt get through the briars to leg him..unfortuneantly for me the creek was the last straw. The new guy got his first stick  |

Mason you didnt call me for the bow huntin trip and Grant I dont know whats up with you, I dont get to hog hunt with you anymore? Thats fine! as soon as I get a dog that will find a hog I will just go by myself. I thought your guys were my friends. I know Chopps will hunt with me
