Picked up a clean telemetry system and collar a few weeks ago and would like one more collar. Which one was the most sought after. Think my collar is a 216 frequency

Man if remember right the two frequencies used were 216/218. I don’t that there is a better one between the two. As far as I could ever tell they were the same. I don’t know why brand you picked up but mine was a wildlife.

I have the wildlife system. I have mostly wildlife and Marshall collars. They sit around gathering dust since the garmins came out. I still put the collars on the dogs sometimes but haven't used the box in years.

You should be able to get collars pretty cheap.

You know, I think mine might have been 217 now that you say that  Cajunl. The older I get the worse this anytimers gets. Anytime I try and remember something from yesterday or yesteryear it’s like bad cell phone reception, the memory just cuts in and out. Heaven forbid I “hang up” and wait until I get better reception!

No they have to be the same frequency on the first numbers.

You have a garmin also and this is your backup or you this is your main system? The telemetry systems are pretty bullet proof.

It took me a couple years while using my Garmin before I stopped using my Wildlife Telemetry in tandem …it’s not 100 percent foolproof but good enough for me to take my chances…

Thanks Cajun and it’s my backup. My garmins worked great but a few times. and when it number 2s the bed it sucks. It just needed a update most times. Definitely glad to have another means.

One thing about the beep beeps. I have never left a dog in the woods that was wearing one while Garmin has let me down several times. I normally have the tag a long beep beep or telemetry colors on my  Garmin collar. Garmins are great but sooner or later they will fail.

I seen where I can send off some of the ones I have and get them turned into the tag along style. I may be able to get the freq. changed while they’re at it. Hey guys while I got y’all what is a tree switch?

The tree switch normally activates a faster beep when the dogs are barking while looking up.
