We were not going to hunt today but we finally got some rain the evening before. Hunted with Larry Smith, Scotty Needham and Sadie Lee. Had hogs on Larry’s food Plott so we released a few hounds and from coldtrailing to the jump and then the bay they covered 11.77 miles. Only problem we didn’t get to hear most of it, we just couldn’t get caught up.

Good catch there Cajun. I don’t know if you can grin any harder than that little’en is. Sounds like the hounds are still geared up from the bear hunting.

Thanks guys. The hounds are still in fair shape but next weekend will be our last when goat season opens up.

Cajun do you notice that some of your dogs like or prefer bear over hogs or vise versus? My dogs were originally bred for cattle but my old dog that I loved so much didn’t want anything to do with cattle but every breath he ever drew was with hog on the brain.
