Deputy Dawg and I were able to get out yesterday morning make a run. We unloaded the buggy and we’re headed to cast the dogs when he heard a tire spewing air. At this point we had to be at least 50 yards from the truck. Lucky for us we keep plugs and one of those small little compressors on the buggy so we didn’t have to walk all the way back. While we were airing the tire up, Deputy Dawg said look at those dogs they’re all winding to the east. I told we’ll just turn them out. He did and they went west hard as they could. Well, a few minutes went by and he said 3 of the dogs were at .7 did I want to bring them back or let them keep going? I told him to bring them back. About that time, down in the bottom about 400 yards from us, a big ole bawl locate bark sounded off and he was telling it. I said there’s Outlaw. He said that ain’t Outlaw it’s Ray. He tried to convince me a couple more times and I almost believed my ears were lying to me until I picked up my garmin. I said that is Outlaw. I told you! About then Ray fell in and they were sounding good. I can’t believe he didn’t think I’d know my dogs mouth or that he’s try and steal his thunder but there ain’t gonna be too much more of that, dang PoPo!!! Now the tire is good and we head that way. We stopped to open an electric fence gap and the other dogs got there. The hog tried to leave but only made it 10-15 yards. We get there and catch a boar that’s a little over 170. The dogs relayed lickidy split. They went right back where they had come from. We loaded the hog and by then they were split bayed. We drove around to them and Moon had a shoat caught and the others were another 350 baying. When we got up to them, they were bayed in a brush pile. I tried to ease around to see what the best way in for the catch dogs was. Ray, Ava, and Moon were inside the wood line baying facing out and Ranger and Outlaw were on top of the pile facing in towards the woods. It saw me and broke, 40-50 yards later were putting tie rope on another boar about 156 I think he weighed. We caught dogs and got out of there. It was a good hunt compared to the last hunt. The baying/ working was a lot more of what I expect. They were finding the brake pedal when need be and letting it idle when needed too.
The brakes applied!

Lol I couldn’t remember if he was 172 or 173. Either way I would’ve been wrong. Deputy Dawg said they weighed 158 and 175. I think that’s the second time in my life I’ve been wrong!
