Ole Timothy and I made a round Sunday evening to the precon yard. Brought 4 yearlings and 3 old dogs between us. Got in em quick and stayed that way. Hogs made em work but well willing to stand with some pressure applied. Even caught some slipping across the wide open trying to slip out and got to use my Greyhound Lizzo. Got a pretty cool video of that.
All in all I think 4 grown sows and a couple shoats. We got a pile of young dogs among us this year and so far everything we’ve broke out is looking like it’s going to work to some degree, can’t be made about that.
First hog we caught was a decent sow in the river, she tried her best to shake the dogs for about 15 minutes before they finally jumped on her when she tried to cross again. We pull up after sending 2 more pups to them and they’re in a waist deep hole. I hear a dog go to yelling and look down, this hog has tims Anne dog in her mouth by the belly like full on trying to eat her, and is just swimming along. Like an alligator would kinda lol. At that point I told Tim we gotta get wet that hogs gonna drown poor Anne. Lucky hog had 0 teeth and Anne was just sore the next day. Never seen nothing like that.

Here is video of lizzo really getting to stretch out and run one down. If you’ve never gotten to see a running dog go, it’s pretty neat to watch.

Sounds like you’re swimming in success, glad to hear it. I like that little greyhound pit cross. She looks like she’d fit right in here.
