Been kind of slow on here so I thought I would post on LSU. They played great all the way up to finals and were lucky enough to win the series. Arkansas and the Costal Carolina played great as you would expect just to get there. Carolina did make a comeback and had me worried but the Tigers prevailed.

Pretty awesome accomplishment. I’ve been chasing my youngest boy around the baseball diamond in select ball since our high school season ended. He did good as freshman on varsity. He got New Comer of the year and 1st Team All-District Pitcher. We had a super tough district with three teams from it making a deep run in the playoffs and one of them made it all the way to the State championship. He had 13 strike outs against that team. His goal has been to be throwing 90+ by his junior year. He’s in the upper 80’s now so I think he may be able to hit his goal this next season. He just turned 15 so arm care is a huge concern. Maybe LSU will get wind of this Texas kid, lol. That’s my proud poppa rant.

We went hunting the other day and my ole soft dogs were excited when I came out to load them and they were tired and hot by the time they ran to the trailer. It’s hot and humid as heck right out of the gate. We caught a couple sows but none of us had to be talked into loading up and going home after the second one. One positive was my new catch dog prospect. She’s a leggy, athletic 80+ pound pit/ bull mastiff cross. She did real well. I got her cut the hunt before and I think it did her some good. So far she’s doing everything I like and she is incredibly easy to live with and extremely smart.
