Yesterday we went out for a run and broke out a wad of sows and pigs. We tried to get ahead of them and ended up cutting the group in two. We had a few sows and pigs behind us in the open pasture so.we cut the baydogs to them and they went to a couple that broke. We sent the bulldogs to a couple sows that stayed and they stood there too long. Ranger caught one and we grabbed it up and put her in the trailer and then went to the one the baydogs put up. We headed on back and cast the dogs again and the baydogs caught a small sow in the woods. When going to them we saw another sow slip out the back door so we sent the dogs that way and caught that sow and put her in the trailer. We called it a day.

Sounds like a very productive hunt. Good dog work.

It could’ve been a better hunt but we had to be careful not to let the dogs cross the county road. I’ve hunted that place for about 30 years and lost it this last year. The old man died and the wife sold it and the fella that bought it won’t let me in there. I feel like he will in time so I’m trying extra hard not to shoot myself in the foot. It’s really put a kink in things for me because it holds a lot of hogs and I hunt everything around it.

Thomas we were talking the other day on how many spots we have lost over the years and a lot of them were because of some one buying in the vicinity of where we hunted.
