Got the dogs out sunday am for a good hunt. Had 5 curs 1 cd. All the curs hunted great covered a ton of dirt multiple mile long loops (didnt hurt there was lots of fresh sign) got 3 80-120 lb sows and one rank boar. The boar made us all worn out, we hiked 12 miles or so and were very glad to get back to the truck, he was bayed forever but kept moving faster than we could walk to get the cd in but we finally got the dogo to the bay and stuck him, he barely had ears left by the time we stopped him. Poked up 3 of the 5 curs but nothing serious.

Probably the last hunt for a while, its hot, getting thick, picked several ticks off us and saw more snakes than i prefer

Good hunt but I understand the reasons you are gonna back off for awhile. CT

It’s definitely gotten thick and I believe the ticks and fleas are going to be bad this year. I’ve seen several ticks already myself. I’m glad you had a good hunt. It sure sounds like the dogs are turning the crank. My catchdog gyp just had a dozen pups. I’m glad she’ll be weaning them before it gets too awful hot.

That’s a good hunt, I’ve been getting ticks off me even after spraying myself down. Hogs have been a bit tougher to find this time of year, turkey season goes out on the 15th and my two gyps are just about done with the heat cycles, can’t wait to get them back in the woods.

Thats a really good hunt. We are supposed to have a wet summer so hopefully we can hunt all summer. Turkey season just ended Sunday so we should be getting out pretty soon.
