Had some hunters this weekend out at the ranch, one happened to be Rick Lambert Miranda Lamberts dad, he is truely an awesome guy, most down to earth man I have ever met. Hung out with him all weekend, he just left today. Yesterday took him hog doggin for his first time, and he loved it. Here's a pic of him with my son Ethan  |

He did a fine job raising her too. I saw her on an episode of ted nugent's hunting show, and she hammered down on some swine! She was so excited about hunting pigs.
Good to know there are some celebs out there who share our hunting passion.

Thats cool. Have seen them on the shows and they look pretty down to earth. I like that one where Blake Shelton shoots at a hog in a field but misses. Then he hits it on the run. He looks into the camera and says some thing like... "I like to fire one warning shot and then try to shoot the hogs on the run, its more sporting that way."  |

Mr. Lambert , Miranda, and the bass player used to come out to my buddies place that I used to hog hunt south of Marshall, Tx. I was supposed to take them hog doggin, but we had a rain out. Gotta love a pretty country girl that likes to kill hogs!

I agree he did raise her right, tonight she will be on the CMA's for female vocalist of the year. He said she called and told him she's up against Reba, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood. And she will be performing her white liar single. He told us lots of stories and they are the all american family. Really nice guy!! He said if you raise a kid to hunt, you'll never have to hunt for them.
My wife was all smiles yesterday, he left her Miranda's new cd Revolution, and her wine "Crazy Ex Girlfriends...She thought that was just too awesome.....

yeh carrie underwood grew up about 30 mi. down the road from here. she has forgot she is from a long line of carnivores. just watched miranda lambert on the cma's , i was thinking about her hog hunting the whole time |
