yea i hav some triggs most of them are red with ring necks white tip tails and a black saddle they are hard running dogs  most triggs are hot nosed dogs and give little mouth untill lookin at  what ever you are running most of my triggs out run my running walkers by about a 100 yards are so i only hav put 2 full blooded ones in my hog dog pack and there wasnt a hog that could out run them i like to cross my black mouths over them because it gives them lots of speed and drive and not so much cold trailing and little mouth.

Would like to see a pic of your full blooded trigg. They use to run them on deer here when I was young. They mostly use them in the fox pens now. Not as common as they use to be around here have not seen one in years. Some crossed them with beagles for rabbit dogs. Hows the range on your triggs? Same as the walker or any other hound LONG RANGE. Meaning they ain't coming back, you have to cut them off to catch'em. The ones I remember were fine boned dogs smaller and keener built then a Walker dog some looked like a cur dog.

yes I have Triggs & run them all the time on coyote mostly in Canada. Most of my Triggs are black blanket back & leggy & some have ring necks. I do have red or open marked Triggs at times. Only ran hogs once by mistake but they had no problem. Trigg hounds should not have difficulty catching hogs, they catch coyotes all the time. My Triggs have good mouths, & good cold noses. These hounds are true running hounds and will stick on a coyote all day if need be. I ran in Illinois in June and will be running in Kentucky in Oct. on coyote & fox. I preffer coyote because these hounds are so quick they generally just put a fox in the hole.

My uncle had what he called triggs, and a hunting buddy of theirs had walkers, my uncle allways argued that they were all foxhounds, the tri color saddle back were triggs and the rest of them were walker and july hounds , thats all i remeber from the old timers arguements.... lol
