Here it is folks!!!  Our promotional slideshow for our 2010 Tournament.

TrueBlueLacys did a fantastic job and a HUGE THANK YOU goes out to all those that posted or emailed pics for us to use in this presentation!!  Without ya'll this wouldn't have gotten off the ground!!  There is no music to this as we will be using it for promotional purposes and would need permission from the songwriters and those that hold the copyright power to incorporate it with it.  We felt it is an awesome presentation as it stands!!

Looks really good gals!

What about adding some light instrumental music and taking out Savoy's pictures?

Or maybe I shouldnt say anything bad about him....he is a pretty good hunting partner. he did carry a fat out of shape dog of mine...who thought they were dead back to the ranger last night.

In your case, that really depends on which dog it was.  A pretty good hunting partner would have carried Bart, a REAL good hunting partner would have carried Jack.  Cheesy

Thanks all!!  I think it turned out fantastic!!  We may place some instrumental music to it if there are any musicians out there that can play us a little tune abou 2:30 minutes long and wouldn't mind us using it??  Grin

Matt - Yes this is going to Garmin as a presentation for sponsorship for the contest.

Yeah, speaking of music... if anyone is buddies with a GOOD band that does country/bluegrass/hog dog-ish music with a professionally recorded CD, it would be great to a donation of their songs for use in videos like this. I've found one or two songs that might work in the public domain, but Creative Commons music in that vein is pretty slim and pretty crappy. Technically we shouldn't be publishing any videos with any music we don't have explicit permission to use. But it could really cause issues if the video is promoting a commercial product like Garmin. Just something to think about.

Jo Lynn, I do think I found a CC tune that could work for this video, I'll try to add it when I get home.

I noticed that to be an issue when I was attempting to make a video. If you ad a song you purchased from something like itunes...and the ad banner shows across the video....is that not sufficient?

Im asking because I dont know. Huh?Huh???

The law is that you need to have a license for a song to put it in a video. Buying a song or album just gives you the right to listen to it, not use it in other productions. Those ad banners on YouTube pop up if you're busted using a copyrighted song but the copyright owner decides they would rather make money off you than get the video taken down or the audio muted. Anything owned by Warner Music Group (includes Atlantic, Elektra, Nonesuch, Rhino, Sire and Warner Bros) will automatically get yanked.

For personal videos and nonprofit use, you have free rein on Creative Commons audio. This is a good list of sites where you can search for it: http://creativecommons.org/legalmusicforvideos/. If you're into techno or smooth jazz, it's great. Bluegrass and country and hard rock, not so much.

YouTube also has AudioSwap, http://www.youtube.com/audioswap_main, which is free but fairly limited.

Another way around it is to use music from smaller bands that will appreciate the free advertising. Local guys, stuff you find on MySpace, whatever. Just contact them and ask, I bet they'll be fine with it as long as they aren't big supporters of PETA or something.

I'm sure copyright karma will bite me in the butt for saying this and I'll discover some puppy miller is making thousands off my pictures, but for personal videos I wouldn't worry about it. The worst thing that will happen is your video will get taken down. But I was a little more cautious with this slide show considering it's for a potential corporate sponsor. If I worked in their marketing department and heard a popular song in the background, I might question the professionalism of the nonprofit presenting to me.

But I did find a Creative Commons song from the Chatham County Line, so here it is with music: http://www.vimeo.com/7636025.
