After our hunt yesterday, Sean, Mike, Matt, Brute, Mandi, and Myself went to lunch. Somehow we ended up on a discussion of Texas history, and the capitols Texas has had.  When I got to the office this morning, I decided to let google answer our questions.

Capitols of Texas

Harrisburg - In 1835, the General Council of Texas, a provisional government of Texas, made Harrisburg its capital

For some reason you never hear about Harrisburg being a former state capitol, here are the ones that are most often recognized.

Washington-on-the-Brazos (1836)
Columbia (1836)
Houston (1837-1839)
Austin (1839-1842; 1845-1855)
Washington-on-the-Brazos (1842-1845)
Austin (1855-1881)
Temporary Capitol (1881-1888)
Present Capitol of Texas (1888-

armadillos = possum on the half shell.

It's a delicacy in some parts of this state....

Other places, the amadillos just get drunk and pass out on the highway like this

Dude,  I think if the possum died in a vat of everclear, you'd still have to marinate him! They look so greasy...

:O)
