Clay,
What type and strength of winch did you go with on your Rhino?

3000 pound..I would only use a warn but thats just preference the only one ive known to have a problem was a superwinch...it really wasnt a problem but it stalled when it was needed most.. I have two warns and never stalled them and ive been stuck in some bad ...... Just go with a good reputably brand and you should do good..and if your only gonna save a few dollars from a warn i get it...look on ebay always good deals on there.I hope that helps.

Thanks CLay.

MY Mule is like Matts and much smaller than your Rhino I think I could get away with a 2500 but I have heard the MORE THE BETTER.

Have you heard anything about Ramsey winches?  Another friend told me Warn or Ramesy.

Longshot, I use a Ramsey 2500 on my Honda Fourman 450. I like it a lot. It's saved my bacon numerous times. It's never failed me. In fact, one time I pulled Tightlines Polaris Ranger out of a deep mud hole using my atv and winch. I put the front of the atv against a tree and fed the hook and cable to the Ranger and yanked him right out. The winch didn't flinch a bit. It worked great, although I was a bit concerned that I might bend the metal bars on the front of the atv. Pulled it out with no problems though.

One thing to remember also is when in doubt.....use a snatch block.  A simple pulley attach to the anchor point and the cable ran through it and back to the Mule, Rhino etc will nearly double your pulling power and is easier on the winch.
