My wife noticed my bulldog at his own mess today.  Few facts about him:

He's not underfed, he eats two cups of Diamond high energy daily.
I worm him every month.
He's kept on a 20' feet chain.
Clean water.
Clean bedding.
Does not act or look ill in any way.

Any ideas or suggestions before I go donate to the vet?

Thanks everyone in advance.

Man that's nasty I hate when they do that. Try picking up his turds everyday that'll eliminate the source and some dogs do it cuase they don't like s**t where sleep

Yum!!!! man I had a dog that did that when I fed Diamond and retriever, I was told it was cause of the corn and wheat not digested, smelled edible to them, since I switched, no problem.......just an idea.

I had an old bulldog stud who'sprevious owner made a habbit of expressing the anal gland and once that is done too much the muscles around the anus will get weak were as a normal dogs hard turd will naturally express it...any how rambling,I was told to use metamucil (sp) and it was supposed to stop it...there is a product called "forbid" made just for that. I never really figured out why he did it tho...

They sell some pills at petsmart that will make them stop doing that.
The home made recipies are pineapple juice in the food or canned pumpkin in the food.
They will not eat ther poo if you add that to their food. Makes it taste/smell bad...eventually "trains" them not to try and eat it anymore...

here is a link with lots of info

good luck
