You always hear about a dog getting cut by a hog, but you dont hardly ever hear about the hunter getting bit or cut. So, have yall ever been bit or cut by a hog?

Know a guy from Moulton that got bit on his finger not a bad deal but I told him to wash immediatly with betadine, (cause he called to tell me about it) well he did not do what I told him - ended up with emergency room visit and bad staff infection and time off work.
I had a small chunk bitten out of my leg, looked like a divet, I felt lucky he bit me instead of hooked me with his cutters. He was dragging all the dogs as I was coming in and got me hemmed up against brush where I could not move, then turned and tried to get Mr.Mason too. I pretty mad about him ripping my jeans too!

Been cut twice , once on my arm, took 8 stitches and once on my leg , took 10 stitches.. I've been bit a few times but nothin bad. Know of a guy that used to hunt all the time but he slipped one day while throwin a boar hog about 175lbs and the hog cut him up his face from his chin to the top of his head and across his forehead. He don't hunt anymore..

I hunted with a guide out of kerrville that had a boar almost kill one of his clients on a hunt in the 80s, The hunter shot a boar and He walked up directly after the animal and he was alone, the boar charged and knock him down, he yoused his rifle to keep the boar away from his chest and head kicking and screaming for his life, atleast sevaral minutes pass before the guide was on seen, the guide fired a shot and the boar ran back in the high grass, from what I was told the man almost bled to death before getting to the hospital, the guide went back to find the boar still alive and he finished him off. Every time I go to kerrville I stay with the guide and not a trip goes by that the story is not retold to me, it really happened and it could happen to any of us and we know it, be carefull out their guys and have some fun, Jason

Have been bit several times by sows but nothing that broke the skin. Got a hole in the arm of my Wick coat where a fat sow bit me while loading her. LOL Had one grab the crotch of my britches and give me a good shake once when my buddy got in a hurry and didnt tie it like he should and it got loose. Know several guys that have been cut being careless or just plain clumsy with tied boars.

I guide hog hunts and had a hunter get 17 stitches on his butt. He had wounded a really good boar and was walking through the brush and it charged him. He chose not to drop his thousand dollar bow and climb a tree. In stead he tryed to side step it and it hooked him nocking him down. By the time I got there he had the 200lb in a head lock. I grabbed the boars back legs and pulled it off of him. He had small cuts all over his legs. He wanted to put electrical tape on the cut and keep hunting but we sent him in to llano to the doc. He must have had a blast cause they just booked another hunt with us. Here is a pic of the boar and the hunter after he came back from the doc. Had another guy get charge amd tryed to jump over the hog. They hog ended up hitting him in his legs as we jumped and flipped him over. The guy landed on his neck nocking him out. I was glad the hog kept running.

In wood county in East Texas about 5-10 years ago, a guy got killed after trying to get out of his truck and shoot a boar hog of the side of the road. it was in the newspaper. It said he must have seen a hog while driving and got out and tried to shoot. They figured the hog charged and it cut a major artery in his leg and he bled to death.

Had one get loose between my legs and I was backed up against the brush could not move had a stanless steel Marlin 45/70 lever action in my hands at the time we were gonna tie the hog instead of shooting it but he broke loose got between my legs everthing happened in flash split second and I had the gun in one hand trying to defend the hog off with the other I could not get the lever to completly shut so the gun would fire so I ended up beating the hog over the head with a stanless steel 45/70 "750.00 bucks" on the third crack of the barrel over the head he turned loose didnt want no mo plus a dog had him by his manhood. I never hit another thing with that gun I think it bent the barrel so I sold it. Dont know how I didnt get cut but I got bit! and the chit skeerd out of me!!!!!!!!!! ahhahahahahahahahaahahahahahahah.

Had one about a year ago get me while we were loading him in the truck. I had his ears, and there was two guys on his hind end and my hand slipped. He rolled upside down and his cutter got me about 4 in on the inside of my arm and one little poke that went all the way down to the bone.
But ive came real close a couple times, have a hog knock you down and get on top of you aint fun.

I have had two really close calls where I had a boar run its head up the inside of my calf. Alot of people joke about people wearing snake boots when hunting but that is one of the main reasons I do. There have been situations where I fought hogs off with my feet/ legs... had I been in shorts and tennis shoes it would not have been pleasant.
