Thanks  Grin

Where do you get the slicker? I have some schooling chaps, I just never thought about wearing chaps in the woods. I can see where they would keep the brush off of you. Not sure why I never thought about that.

Does the slicker just tie onto the back of the saddle with the strings? Does it sit on top of the saddle bags?

Cheers!

you can get a slicker at just about any western store i have had that one for almost 20 years, its the real heavy one, hard to find those these days.

in the last picture you can see it tied on behind, yeh above the cantle bag and i tie my coat on with the same strings some times too, so thats why i like the extra long strings on the back, when im not using the strings on my saddle i put them over the back of the saddle behind the cantle and down thru the d-ring on the oposite side , to keep them off the ground  Grin

if you will notice i have a set of the 4 wheeler bags (the kind that hang over the gas tank),   hanging over my saddle horn , i love those things , lots of pockets and they are cheap at wal-mart.

nothing will keep you warmer than a good set of leggings and a good set of taps, keeps the brush off of you too.
