Guys, I am looking for a brood gyp to lease for a litter pups from one of our males. I am looking for a Plott or Plott cross, BMC or Mountain Cur. Dog must be completely silent, med to long range. The dog must be able to do it all by her self, gritty or not it doesnt matter but LOADS of BOTTOM a must. If you have the right dog I will make it well worth your while.

believe it or not people with good dogs are not real quick to run out and breed them to just anything. What makes a great dog? his reputation! and he gets that  not only from his ability but more so from the record of his offspring. The coon hound world keeps up with this. They have breedings planned and contracted 2 or 3 years in advance. The Price ? YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.  I have yet to see a $500 dog worth $5 once you have had him a day or two. When I was coon hunting 5 or 6 night a week getting ready for a big hunt a common phrase was "if you are in it to win it, be prepared to $pend it". I will make a deal with someone when I find the right gyp and I will make it sweet for them. Once we make a deal we will post the deal and keep up with how it turns out. It is pretty exciting huh. Cool

good luck with your searh raider54. i think this is going to be a whole lot more diffuclt than your leading it on to be.  ive been running hog dogs now for over 7 years . now that i do have above average bitch that has been on hundreds of hogs and has proven hearself; i look at things like this.  when i breed here im going to keep 3 females and a male and my 3 0r 4 trusted hunting partners would get the rest. if i get a better job or just some work n the next 3 months im keeping all but 1 female and 2 males and my 2 clostest partners get the rest. why because im establishg and working  familey of dogs and thats how you get some good ones. it has been my expernce the people who work familys r the ones with the good ones.    the reason i think your going to have yours hand full is if somone knows they have a goood female and actuallly proved the dog, other people know about it and they want a pup off it.(its just how things work)  and if money is the motivator you got to think 7 to 12 pups 250 $ to $300 a pup$ but good luck with your search maybe money is no obect to you. i  wish you the best of luck.would like to hear how it all unfolds. man i rember the days of endless phonecalls and hours of driving to get a cull. i wish i could rember the number of dogs iv tried but ohwell.

I couldnt agree more, If it were easy I would have it done already but as with everything in this life that is valuable is not easy. If someone wanted to breed one of my dogs to a great female I wouldnt even charge him and he could keep all the pups because its his quest and I support things I believe in.

Are they any dogs around that is related to the dog you want to breed.  I believe his name is clay.  Are they siblings of his that are doing it the right way or close to him?  Does he take more after the sire or does he more favor the dam.?  Are the dam or sire related?

I believe I understand what you are doing and looking for.  Just wondering about a faster way to achieve the wanted results.

I found a brother a year younger the guy told me the dog was doing great at a year old but got on a deer one day the guy got way to rough with him and caused him to quit hunting but still has him as a yard dog. I found his mom she is 8 yo. I told him I would like to breed Clay back to her, he and I were both excited about it but she had gotten loose the noght before during a storm. Thats been 6mths ago and she never came home. Do you know Clay?

If you had 3 dogs lined up, I would have a 33% chance of picking him out of the bunch.  No don't know him.  Just curious about the other dogs related to him and his ability to pass on what he has?  Again just curious about his siblings and and parents.  Good luck in reproducing dogs like him.

I just know his name from reading your posts.
