Got a call from Richard (got2catchem) to come down for a hunt on sunday. Being that I am 2 hours west I was too lazy to make the 7:00 am meeting time. I finally made it to Marlin at 10:00 and met up with the guys.

We hit the first place around 11:00 am. Richard's Mud dog bayed the first boar solo. The rest of the dogs were showing bayed about 700 yards back behind us. I sent a few Jagds in to the second bay and we drove up to a caught hog.

Loaded up and hit the River just down the road. Dogs worked a good 30-45 minutes with no luck. We decided to hit one of my places 15 miles down the road. All the dogs were out hunting good. The Jagds were working up the river and showed to be .75 miles. We started to the Jagds and decided to kick Richard's dogs out in a good block of woods on the way. Within a few minutes we had split bays. One of the dogs had a sounder rallying up and they busted. We finished the evening with a good 200 lb boar and 6 for the day.

It was a good hunt with good friends.

I somehow missed some good video...but here is what I got:

Man, I sure enjoyed it and didn't mind the late start, considering the fact we had been out late hunting the night before.  Those jags of Rex's are good dogs that have put me on bacon plenty of times. We'll have to get up and make another hunt soon. I always like hunting with those catchy swamp rats of yours. Shocked Grin

Who's the idiot that almost got hit by the blk boar coming around the tree in the video. Figured they oughta know better than that? Wink
