I have never seen a 300 grain bullet in a 357 and would seriously doubt that they make one. You can get a 300 grain bullet in a 44 magnum.
The most popular load for the 357 is 158-160 grain.

they have a ballistic tip on them which helps them shoot more accurate especially at a longer distance. the hollow points will have a pretty big drop on them at farther distances.

I have the same rifle, and am looking for the same thing...
I've been shooting a 12ga with hydra-shok slugs (they're only sold to law enforcement... don't ask). I've stuck with them because they've instantly folded every pig I've shot with them... and since I'm shooting over the dogs, that's exactly what I want. But I'm taking a buddy to Caney Creek and he wants to use my shotgun, so I'll be using the lever gun. So I've been thinking why not stick with what has worked in the shotgun and get 357 hydra-shoks for the marlin? But this post has me wondering now...
Anyone here tried 357 hydra-shoks on pigs? Were they good/bad/indifferent?
