Went out to a good buddy's place where we always catch alot of hogs and did a little huntin. Took some friends with me (DogginStud) Bo who i hunt with quite a bit and then my buddy Forrest who had never been b4. Kicked the dogs out yesterday afternoon and bayed a good pig (130 or so) and Forrest got to get his first stick.
This morning we kicked the dogs out and bayed a pretty good boar by creek. As we were driving to the bay on the Ranger, we came across a big boar in the middle of a little meadow. He hit the woods pretty close to where the dogs were still bayin. We went in and caught the boar being bayed and DogginStud stuck him (175) and then we went back to where we saw the big boar and put the dogs on his trail.  Not even 30 seconds went by and they had him bayed. We sent the CD's in and he tossed every stinkin dog that was on him then took of running. The dogs caught up to him about 100 yds away and got him caught. My buddy Wynne legged him and i plugged him as fast as i could... we could see a few dogs a sprung a leak. Went back about an hour later and took some pictures. We estimated him to be a little over 300

Well me and some of my huntin buddies ran into a guy who makes knives out around Abilene where we live. We told him we wanted some cheap but strong knives made into pigstickers. Well he sat down with us and we each designed a knife that we liked. The one im holding there was made out of an old saw blade that was rusted up. he shined up the steel and made it look good. Its double edged. Then the handle is made out of what i think he called "marble" I honestly i have no idea what that is, but it looks cool and its a good grip. The knife is strong and we all love them. Ran us about $60 each Smiley

man that hog sure did have a melon of a head. i have seen alot of 300 pound hogs that dont have a head nearly that big. you would think a hog with that big of head might have some witts to him but  that hogonly new one thing. he wanted to fight, it was crazy he stayed put and just waited for us. oh well it was a fun hunt and we didnt have to swim or wade any creeks.
