Do y'all want the CHEAPEST of the BEST place to buy one?

Remember those are two different things.  Some places you may spend a little more coin, but it is worth it in the end.

My money is and always has been on Valley Creek for my tracking equipment. I have bought new and used from them, and always been treated fairly. Any problems, and they are a phone call away.

Stoked,
I see you hunt in a lot of wet areas. It might be a good idea to call Redgey at Valley Creek and tell him what terrain you are hunting, then ask if the Garmin will work well for you. I made the call last week to him to buy a Garmin and 5 collars. Then I was educated about the collar, the charging port, and it not being waterproof.  I decided to keep what I have for now, and wait on a second generation unit in the fall, in hopes that it is improved.

Speaking from experience, the Tracker Maxima receivers are not waterproof either. Their collars have no issues with water, but the receivers do not like to be submerged for any length of time Shocked Shocked

I agree, Valley creek has my business.  Bought several collars from them and traded some used ones in as well.  Customer satisfaction Grin

Me too, I didn't look at the post dates. The Buzzard Roost is where we got all our collars and unit. He is super helpful. he even called about
a month after we purchased from him and asked if everything was working right.
