pencil bosal hangers

I bought a pencil bosal today and will need to fashion a hanger for it. Several of you guys said you make your own. Any chance you could describe how you made them? Did you just rivet a strap onto the bosal, or did you make it with buckles for adjustment and removal from the bosal?

Also, are you using a 16 foot get down with a fiadore around the horse's poll? My bosalito has the traditional heel knot and no metal hoop at the bottom.
