Hegar,

I think you might need to send KC my direction so I can keep her legged up for you. Between hay season and deer season, I'd have her all tuned up for you and ready to roll each spring. Grin

Chris,

I was doing some poking around into a bloodline of curs I came across about a year or so ago...Some of my different conversations led to that dog.

Chris,

Don't know if your aware of this or not and I'd have to rebuild the whole scenario in my mind, but I'm pretty certain she's is related to a dog you used to own. (Jeckyl)

I think I saw Matt try to judi chop and kung foo kick a sow last weekend.  Not sure about the UFC, I am thinking he might have ordered a Diamond Dave Ninja video.

With regards to KC... You ought to have Matt pick up both you and KC and make some more hunts with us.

Bryant,
That is interesting.   I hunted behind Jeckyl's brother , Hyde, in early 07. I really liked that dog, and considered dropping some coin on him. Glad I didn't, he was sold and died on a chain about two weeks later. A situation not much different than Jeckyl. Sad    Hyde sure did burn up the woods looking for a hog.

I've slept since then, but if memory serves me correctly KC's dam would be a yellow dog named Sissy that belonged to a guy around College Station. (Hegar knows him)  I believe she was a daughter of Hyde.  (John Duncan?)

Some guy up in north texas bought that Sissy dog along with a reddish brindle dog (Hegar...I think you hunted that dog for a while) named Deuce and then bred the two together.  Not too long ago I saw some pups advertised on baydog.com out of the two.  What got me interested was the saddleback dogs that show up occasionally out of that line.  A lot of my dogs are Saddlebacks so I'm always curious when I see others if they could be related down the line because they're not that common.

Chris...(I think) Lavon bred Buck to a yellow dog named Sadie shortly before you got him and some of those pups threw saddleback.

I don't know what dog KC came out of.   Cant remember but i know my dog Tex, Sadie is his mom.   And yeah garret knows lavon so its possible that they did breed those two.   I had an accidental breeding out of tex and KC and they threw one saddleback that i kept but she got run over.  And deuce is tex's uncle.

I don't know the bitches name, but Lavon did breed Buck to a yellow bitch the day we picked him up.

small world out there.  John sold hyde to tommy strange. I think tommy might have gotten one hunt out of him before  he died. I gave tommy some catahoulas that I had back in 99 or 2000 before I was running dogs.

one of the Buck pups we got was a light saddleback. Don't know anything about the dam though.

Good boar Matt!

My kinda rainy day! Good job!

Hey I used to hunt a little with a John Duncan about 4 or 5 years ago. He had a good Yella dog named Hyde. Probably the same dude. I sure hate to hear about Hyde dieing on a chain. Hard to beleive he even sold him to begin with.

Yep small world.  I was told Lavon got the pick of the litter pup out of that breeding and it was a saddleback dog.  In fact, he had it (and another pup from the cross) advertised for sale on here a while back.  Dog would be about eight months old now.  I can't remember when you got Buck but would that add up?

I'd be curious to know who ended up with that pup and how it was doing.

Its always interesting to find out how dogs with the same relations have turned out.   I got pretty lucky cuz my dogs were given to me.  All of them in fact.   My full blooded AB came from a breeder  that has show dogs.   he's not for showin anymore, he's an ugly mug.

Nice boar fellas, good to see Matt has not forgot how to get after a hog!

Yes JOHN DUNCAN is all the same one that had Hyde and sold to Tommy S. of Alvin for a good chunk of Change and died two weeks later on the chain after one hunt.
