We used to hobble every one until the land owner heard about people catching hogs and taking them other places and turning them loose again. Now we stick most of em at their request. I use 3 to 4 strike dogs and 2 catch dogs on every hunt!

we tie ours and either sell them to the hunting ranches or feed up to butcher later, and to train dogs on

depends on the property owner. most of my hunting places the owners want them dead. a few place we can tie and sell them. i never use a gun, unless its a really bad sistuation. i dont carry a gun but ussually somebody in the group has one. in 15 years i have never shot a hog peronally but my ole buck has slide in plenty of em..

We tie and hobble, we only ever had to shoot two of them. One we shot because our cd overheated and we didn't have time to tie because we needed to get to water asap, and the other one that we shot was because it was a huge boar hog and me and my husband were alone and couldn't get it loaded so we shot it and kept the head for the tusks.
