My hunting buddy (TY) just bought one of the new Garmin Tracking systems. Saturday evening we were hunting and dogs bayed up on two different bays so we got about 100yrds out and turned the CD's loose. We caught the 1st one and my one of my CD's were there so we ran to the second bay and the other one was there. Well somewhere in between the 1st and 2nd hog, I lost my CD SPANKY. Spanky is a 1/2 pit/1/2 BMC that I bought from Ronnie Lewis probably 6yrs ago. He is one of the smartest and best CD's that I have owned. When he is in the kennel you can call him and he jumps up on the kennel and shakes his @ss like he is danceing so everyone all ways says " WATCH HIM DO THE SPANKY DANCE" he is funny when he does it. LOL Anyway back to my story. We got everything loaded on the wheelers and started calling for him. We road around and called and called. NO SPANKY. Finally TY started back tracking with the Garmin. He went to where we had caught the first hog and called then he went to the second hog and called. While he was at the mark where we caught the first hog he started calling and about 40 yrds away he heard a bunch of bushes moving. So he started that way and ran up on Spanky still caught on about 150# boar by hisself. This was over an hour and a half since we lost him. Ty walked up and the boar was trying to knock him off up side a tree, but the loyal dog he is, he never let go. Ty said he looked up at him after he legged the hog and stuck it and gave him a funny look like "WHERE THE #ELL HAVE YOU BEEN". Im just glad I have good friends and good dogs. God did bless me with that.  Grin

Thats awsome! Glad you found Spanky. Since Garmin came along, there are a lot less stories of lost dogs.

Hey Texas J, that is Rookie all the way to the right. If he can't find a hog, he will back up and @hit one just so he will have something to bark at. He might be in the next county, but he will be looking at a hog. I will definantly get him one.

Bud that is shurnuff a beautiful bunch of dogs in that picture!

I really like the heads and the extra ear on them!

Glad ole Spanky is still around to dance too!

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago with a baydog of mine. 30 yards away from that rascal and not a peep out of him. I was expecting the worst when I walked up and interrupted him having pork for supper! lol. I was sure relieved!!!
