Its nice to hunt in the daytime when its cool out, but hunting at night is better for the dogs when its hot.

We hunt 50/50 night and day... but I prefer to hunt at daylight. I enjoy watching the dogs work and seeing a good bay.

I would rather hunt during the day just cuz its alot less work you dont have to carey around a light and you dont have to worry about droping it and not being able to see but if the time is right i will go to the wood at any time

We will mostly hunt in the mornings until it gets hot then we will start hunting at night right up until after next deer season is over.

Good Post,

I like hunting daylight hours, but reality I hunt mostly night. I am a shift worker and I almost never want to hunt after a night shift, but never have a problem going after a day shift. I am getting old and anytime in the woods is a good time. I truly believe that it is safer for the dogs in the daytime, but with being said I have done more stapling in the night and more praying for my dogs and friends dogs in the day. Later...

I run em at night in the summer, and when it's cool out I try to hunt during the day.

it don't really matter to me.  i don't care for night time much just cause my nightvision isn't the greatest but sometimes that's all you can get.
