We were gonna have everything available to have a 24hr weigh in and donate the meat to hunters harvest, but after being in contact with them they want the meat skinned, gutted, and quartered, and delivered, which was not gonna be a problem, but they can only accept up to 800lbs of meat. We are probley looking at anywhere from 5k-10k pounds of meat turned in, one person alone will probley bring in 800lbs so it was not worth it to process all that and then it get wasted. I also contaced TDHA to see if we could get some help with a place to donate meat of if they would even come in to help, but they need a USDA meat inspector onsight, and meat has to be deboned and packaged. So after all that we just decided to hold the hunt and what ever you bring to the weigh in it is your responsibility to dispose of.
