Some dogs do and some don't. The ones I have now don't. However, I still have a hoe with about a 2 foot handle to take care of the problem.

I let my dogs out of the kennel everyday to POOP! So when I get ready to load them I just let them out and they run around for a couple of minutes and then they load up. Then maybe we will stop after a couple of hours and let em POOP if is that long of a hunt.

Hah!- I thought I was the only one that had this problem! LOL

While working my way through school, I was a K-9 officer for our local Sheriff's Department. I worked a dual purpose dog (narcotics as well as apprehension) and he was a firecraker and I sure miss that dog. He and I had some good times and made alot of dope arrest on I-10 coming from Texas into Louisiana.

However, if I used him in a situation where he had to do alot of work (crowd control, criminal tracking) and he didn't get to bite a suspect, he would crap in the car. I took me awhile before I realized it was only when he got worked up and didn't bite somebody. I guess it was his way at getting back at me for all that adrenaline, and no climax! I tried everything, shock collar, beat downs, taking him to the park for 20 minutes to calm down - it didn't matter, if he didn't get a bite after tracking a suspect then the trustees at the jail got a stinky car wash. He would sometimes wait 2 ours, but sooner or later, he was crapping in the unit! I seriously thought about just letting him bite the SOB to keep me from having that smell in the car!

The best I have figured is to go out and let out the dogs a few minutes before I am ready to leave.  I talk em up and get em all excited and hope they drop the bomb before I load them. LOL Some dogs just seem worse about it than others.

However, if I put my bulldog on top of the box as I often do he will have projectile diahrea. Ofcoarse he will also poop on your foot if you donbt watch it. Undecided

An old trick is to take a twig, about 4 or 5 inches long, lick one side of it and slide it in the dogs backdoor. Slide about two inches in and leave about two inches out. Make sure the end you are inserting is not sharp or pointed, you don't want to hurt the dog. As the dog's tail wags is bumps on the twig, stimulating it,within a few minutes it will do it's duty. I am not joking about this, an old dog man taught me this and it has worked for me before. Can't say it will always work, but worth a try.

This falls into that "Crazy enough to work" category! Ill take your word for it though. lol. Heck, why waste time on lubing sticks and tail stimulation. Just give the dog a enema and be done with it!  Grin LMAO!!

Ha I think I'd rather have the dog crap in my box than have to stick a stick up his rear.

Kind of off topic but a funny story.

A bunch of us were out on the river huntin, one of my buddies dropped a deuce down by the riverbank. We about to leave in the boat and some other guys pulled up to hunt the spot we were at. The guy got out and stepped right in the poop. He said "damn't i stepped in dog s**t". The one of his buddies said "dogs dont wipe dumass". We were all cryin laughing at this guy as we pulled off.

Nothing like leaving a rattlesnake in the middle of the road, only to pass someone one the way out of the woods.  Bad feeling for sure.

I agree with uglydog on this....that seems to do the trick for most all dogs that I've known that had a problem with going in the dogbox. Good luck.

In the Roman Coliseum the Gladiators had those hallways to the floor where they would do battle. Those hallways are called vomitoriums. The Gladiators would "empty" themselves from both ends just before battle. This practice is the reason the Roman soldiers wore what looks like a skirt and the Kilt is worn with nothing underneath. So when your dog poops in the box just think of him as a Gladiator preparing for battle! Either that or carry a small shovel and some deodorant.
