ive heard the old folks speak of a settlement in southwest louisianna pronounced "cherry winchee". maybe that's what the  fella from La. was speaking of.

Those of you familar with the difference between Lubbock county (where I live) and say Garza or Kent county, we refer to those folks as mesquite monkeys.  Grin

Growing up we spent our summers at Sam Rayburn lake and daddy always referred to those folks as 3 fingered inbred sum b**ches. Looking back I wonder who was more hillbilly, them or us. Dads van with us boys in our undies bedded down in the back and him zinging beer cans out the window for the 11 hour drive with a Jon boat strapped to the roof.
Ah..... memories, un replaceable memories.

Hey Ronnie...can ya make me a pink one?? Rick bought me a red one last year in hopes that noone would want to use it....but I was wrong. So hopefully if I have a pink one nooone will try to claim it!!

I dont think all the people around tarkington look like that. I know i have lived in Tarkington all my life and i dont look nothing like that but i have seen some around here where i grew up. i lived in some DEEP riverbottoms and yes there is some just like that down there
